'07 Cobalt ss/sc boost gauge light.

Well, my Cobalt's about a month old and the pillar-mounted boost gauge lights flickering like nuts. My guess is a bad filament in the autometer gauge light. Anyways, my question is - it looks like there is a pop off cover with a screw under it and then probably some kind of pressure clips holding the plastic pillar cover on. My only concern is the little circle cover thing on it has Airbag written on it. Is this just advertising or is there some type of airbag deal in there - last thing I want to do is start prying away and destroy / short out airbag wiring.

Anything I need to be worried about? And am I correct in assuming that you just remove that one screw and pry the puppy off there to get at the bulb?

Sorry for the noobie question but I figured I'd better be safe that sorry with this - I have a tendency to snap and destroy things pretty often so I thought I'd check before I do just that.

Thanks!

d.

I will save you the trouble . The factory autometer guage is sealed and its not serviceable . The bulb is soldered to a circuit board within the guage itself . Take it to the dealer , your warranty will cover that for free .
