I'm stuck in a bit of a dilemma. I have a Type R 12 in a ported box which does a good job at being incredibly loud, but I do listen to lots of different styles of music and it's pretty obvious that it doesn't work so well for rock and other non-bass oriented music. My question is, does the Type-R sound good in sealed boxes? I've heard mixed reviews, I still would like it to hit hard but to have more clarity for other genres besides Rap/Dubstep etc. I'm really thinking about getting a sealed box soon so your opinions would be much appreciated. Also, any particular types/sizes of sealed boxes work better for this sub? I'm not too well versed when it comes to car audio so I thought I throw this question out to you guys. Thanks.

 

my subs are in a sealed box for a reason....

try to get one with angle on the back and keep the ported one in case u dont like the sealed one
