I have 2 questions....

1. Does the faceplate come off of the radio? Like can I remove the radio and remove the buttons if I wanted to paint it black instead of buying a new radio.

2. Having issues with keyless entry remote. It will not lock/unlock the doors sometimes. It will always work for the trunk but sometimes not the doors. I have already replaced the battery in the remote and the fuse for the door locks....any other ideas?

 

like all cars have crappy distance with the key fob. it depends on where on the car ur looking at. like ive noticed if i see the back of the car and try it it usually doesnt work until im like touching the car ha. from the front usually works from a good distance. side are eh. and etc. ya... im guessing its normal for oem key fobs.

 

I can be standing right next to it....front.....side....rear....doesnt seem to matter. Its weird that the trunk always work even when the doors do not.

 

I think the front will come off of the radio. When i took mine out there were i think four screws, two on each side, but i don't know if that will make the faceplate come off. I would assume so.

 

Factory remote defect ...check the legs coming off the battery holder upon opening the remote..the solder joints are weak ...

 

1- yes the faceplate will come off, there's four screws on the side, then the faceplate has several screws on it which are smaller than 4mm i believe, i know they're ridioucliously small but i know they're removable...

2- I have no idea !

 

either that or the key fob is busted. both of mine are and i bough the car new with both unused keyfobs. guess its time to put that viper alarm in huh
