2007 Cobalt 2.4 SS Speaker Issue

I have an 07 2.4 SS with the premium pioneer sound system.

My issue:

the driver side speaker and tweeter don't work when playing music through the radio,
i do hear the chime but it is extremely faint, it could even be coming from the passenger side speakers.

the rear driver side speakers work perfectly and so do the passenger side tweeter, front and rear.

Sub seems to be working too.

Whats the issue? someone help me out please.

switch the left and right speakers and see if the problem persists .

+1. Seems like you have a short somewhere. Do you slam the door? Maybe you have a loose wire or bad electrical connection. It's like when you have headphones or earbuds and one side loses sound.

woofer might be blown and the faint chime you do hear might be coming through the tweet.....pop the speaker with a 9v battery and see if it moves, if it doesn't, you're looking at a new speaker. If it does move, check the two wires coming off the speaker for continuity with a meter.

Thanks for the replies people, i checked it out, the speaker was separated from the ring, the previous owner blew the hell out of it.

Thanks again.
