2007 Cobalt SS Instrument Cluster & 12v Plug-in issues

Hello All,

I am new to the community, so please excuse me if I submit incomplete information.

I recently bought a 2007 Chevy Cobalt SS automatic (non-supercharged) coupe. The car has/had 35k miles and viper keyfobs (though I am not sure if I have the viper alarm). The car seems to be stock. After driving a couple of weeks, I noticed the following issues that occurred on separate days about a week apart:

1) I noticed that the 12v plug-ins (where you plug your phone charger / gps / etc) do not work. I do not know if they ever worked, but both do not get juice. I checked both fuse boxes (in cabin and under the hood) and no fuses are blown. Any ideas?

2) Two days ago, my instrument cluster stopped working. The gauges do not turn on at all. When vehicle is started, I get a yellow light with a lock flash a few times and it disappears. Other than that, no other lights or gauges come on. Checked all the fuses and they are fine. Any ideas?

Thanks!
P.

when u say checked all the fuses did u pull them out and visually verify? or u used a multimeter?

on the inside fusebox there should be a fuse called interior lights or something similar.. pull that one one more time and see if its good or not
