Addin An Amp.
Addin An Amp.
Well I can probably figure it out on my own, but I thought I'd ask to see what other people would say. It's been a while since I put a anything audio in a car so I don't want to mess anything up.
2005 Chevrolet Cobalt SS Supercharged
I have a old Sony Exploded 500watt amp with all the wire's that I would need. So can anybody give me some advice on how to just add that to the stock sub woofer?
Thanks for you help.
ps. I know that amp probably sucks ass, but I figured it's better than letting it sit on the shelf.

You need an LOC to get signal, Just cut the sub wires a few inches from the box connector itself and use the side running thru the car as input and hook the other side to the new amp. remember the stock sub is dual 2 so run it in series for a 4 ohm load
For those of you who don't speak car audio...
LOC - Line Output Converter. It's a box that splices the positve and ground wires of the back speakers into a set of rca's that you can plug into an amp. Then just run the Power, Ground, and remote wire and hook up the speaker wire in the ohm load setup that you want.
