aftermarket

i just got a new 2010 cobalt ss with the one year of onstare. is there anyway to bypass the stock head unit and put an aftermarket ont in without buying the harness that gm makes. also i want it to work the same. just dont want to spend a couple hundred on a box and some wires

yea you can get a cheaper harness but you will lose door chimes etc and i think you lose onstar too...
