Aftermarket Gauge Questions..
Hey guys..
I'm getting a couple gauges from a friend and a CA 2 gauge pillar pod from a local CSSNET member. I have a few questions though..
1. Are most gauges the same size? Will most fit into my pillar pod? If they're a tad skinny you can buy sleeves can't you?
2. I'm a gauge n00b. Do you need to brace them at all, or will the pod hold them perfectly sufficiently?
3. Are most gauges pretty easy to wire yourself? I can do stereos and stuff, but I've never done any other wiring..
4. The stock gauge pillar is released by removing the top little cover, unscrewing (or whatever) the bolt inside, then you just slip it out from the bottom, correct? The installation would then be just the reverse..
5. what's the best way to route gauge wiring from the engine bay into the a-pillar? How's the stock boost gauge done? I don't have any gauges, so this'll be new. I'm a sucker for wire tucking. I just don't want anything exposed if at all possible.
Thanks alot, guys..
