Hi im in the middle of an alarm install on an 06 ss/sc and im befududeled on the ignition setup .Im not trying to set up the remote start.Just the alarm .I understand our cars dont have you traditional starter set up but unfortunatly thats all they show in the viper manual. Can any one shed some light on how i need to wire the satelite relay harness to our cars its a viper 7900 if that helps. If any one could give some info it would be greatly appreciated thanks.

I have not done an alarm install, however I am pretty sure you need a passlock bypass if the alarm hooks into the ignition.

On previous alarms i have installed the pass lock is to bypass the ignition for remote start . I am not trying to do remote start it is a standard transmission. But on the older cars there are wires from the alarm that tie into the starter. So say if some one is tampering with youre car it disables the starter so they cant steal it theoreticaly . But any who in the new cars such as ours it all goes through the bcm there is no traditional wires coming from the starter to the igition. So im trying to get some one to explain to me how they tied there alarm in on our cars. Some one correct me if im wrong.

not sure... but i do kno for a fact that my car (07 Caliber) needs a bypass for an alarm or remote start does not have to be both the bypass works to unlock the doors and start the car so unless your not using a keyless entry with the alarm you will still need a bypass i'm pretty sure. i could be wrong...

on the other hand.... my gf has a remote start on her car (06 LS) the alarm is a little older one but i will try to get in it and get some pictures or some wiring help for you if i can...

Sorry I misread your post, I thought you were actually doing the remote start portion as well. You are correct, on our cars the PK3+ is only an ignition immobilizer that only needs to be bypass for remote start. For my vehicle I personally just didn't do starter kill because I have the impact sensor from the unit, plus a proximity sensor and the audio sensor to pretty much cover all bases. Really all you need is constant 12v and ignition from the unit to be hooked up. If you really wanted starter kill you could go under the hood and do it there, or you could do an ignition kill but I definitely wouldn't recommend that.
