alarm , remote start troubleshoot question

basically i can remote start the car, and drive it with no key in the ignition all of a sudden........before, when u hit the brake pedal without the key in the ignition the car obv shuts off... but its not doing that anymore

im thinking its a loose brake sensor wire.... anyone have any idea, or know exactly which wire it is ?

Your brake wire is lt.blue @ brake switch or BCM, gray 72 pin plug (X2), pin 54... But Depending on what bypass you used it should be controlled by bypass.

If you had a lazy installer use a bypass (from xpresskit or iData or something) in D2D mode then it is possible it is no longer communicating properly (as most D2D instances end up running into) and instead the brake wire should be connected in analog to the above mentioned wire. Are you certain your brake lights even work? If the switch has faulted or the fuse has possibly blown then you will have no signal to the remote start brain to do the shut off.

If i were you just go on your passenger side pop off the side panel.. take out the 4 7mm (9 3/2) to get a better look and see if the wire is exposed. Make sure its not a cold solder joint w.e... this may help better for you.

Boy I sure hope DEI doesn't see you posting their copyrighted tech support on the Internet. I would hate to see your shop lose their account.
