not that old of a thread, and if anyones looking there's a high output 2.2 alt for sale on the parts forum here... not me so don't pm me but I just saw it today

 

a brand new 180amp one can be bought for $330ish on ebay for 2.2's

i dont think its necessary to upgrade your alt unless you can easily make your voltage drop to under 12v

Hey guys, I got that exact alternator, 180amp from maniacelectronics but I am selling my car. I had it in the car for 1 day.lol. Anyhow, if anyone is interested I will sell it for $225+SH which is a hell of a deal. PM me for details.

 

Is it any bigger than the stock alternator? Also, anyone know if there would be any difference with a supercharger? Not amp wise, i mean running the 180amp alternator with a supercharger cuz i'm looking into a supercharge build this coming spring/summer.

 

anyone know if it will with in an 08 ls? On the site they only go up to the 07 models

 

dont quote me on this but i think its safe to say 07-08's have the exact same engine (LS/LT)
