Amp/sub question

I'm not overly experienced with amps and subs but I know a few things about it..

I have a mtx thunder 600xd amp at the moment and I was wondering what sub i could get for the stock 10" enclosure that would go well that that amp?

Feedback is very appreciated
Thanks!

Type S 10 (you'd have to do a bit of building to fit it in)
Kicker has a shallow mount 10, the CompVT may fit right in there nicely.

ya no sub you can fit in the stock enclosure is gonna take 600w rms you would have to run something at 4 ohms to get half power

Sorry about the noobness here but if i got the rockford p3, is that possible to run at 4ohms with the 600xd amp?
I saw that the p3 is only 300w rms, will that sound alot better than the stock?
And i am planning on keeping my stock HU for now, can i hook this amp/sub up to it and sound alright?

I have 2 10" MTX roadthunders with a BOSS RIOT 850w amp and probably not the right size box.

I don't know If they make the Roadthunders anymore, but they are great. I've had them for like 3+ years and they are still going strong.

Best part is they only cost me like $100 total for the subs.

Just went to a local store and they have alpine type Rs..
Theyre rated at 500w rms and 1500 peak, can the stock enclosure handle that?

I wouldnt mind getting one of those if it would be okay with stock enclosure

no. the stock enclosure is small. only a few shallow mount subs fit and the most power u can realisticlly run to a shallow speaker is 300w rms or so. Anything else wont physically fit other then the fact they would sound like ass even they did fit.
