Just bought this sub:
Kicker 10CVR122 CompVR 12" subwoofer with dual 2-ohm voice coils at Crutchfield.com

Any suggestions on an amp that will make it work well?

that sub is dual 2 ohm....the amp you have is not one ohm stable, and will put out less power @ 4 ohms than @ 2.....unfortunately with that coil setup you have on that sub you won't be able to wire it to 2 ohms....For you situation, this very similar 2 channel amplifier would suit you just fine if you wired the subwoofer coils in series and bridged those inputs...:
