i recently upgraded my speaker wire and noticed a big diff. in loudness so i was wondering if I changed my power/ground cables from 4 gauge to 1 gauge if I would notice a difference, its running at about 1000rms

1 gauge wire is huge... that seems excessive to me

 

Bigger wire less resistance.

Are we talking about the power and ground from your amps or from the alternator to battery?

 

power and grounds from amp/battery

 

I dont know how much louder it will get but Im sure you'll hear some sort of sound difference. Larger wires will help it run a bit more efficiently too. Give it a shot whats it gonna hurt?
