Audio Sysyem Questions

HeyGuys. I have a couple of questions concerning head units and Amps. What do u guys think is best The Pioneer Avic N3 or the Eclipse AVN5500? Also i have a set of Kicker L7s and a 1000Watt Crossfire Amp. Is a Crossfire Amp good? and is 1000 watt amp good enough to get the most out of the L7s? Please help im getting it all in stalled on Monday and want 2 make sure that im getting rhe most for what im paying for

As far as car audio goes, it seems to me as though alot of it is personal preference. I m no expert when it comes to car audio, but I m pretty sure that Eclipse is a little bit more high end than pioneer. As far as the subs and the amp, whats the RMS rating of the L7s? What is the rms rating for the amp? How many channels does the amp have? Ideally you want an amp that can supply the rms watts that the subs are rated for rms, not max.

I would definitely go with a better amp for those subs. Why ruin a nice system with an unheard of amplifier? As for the headunit, do some searching around and read reviews from legit sources. There are many nice cd / mp3 players out there for very affordable prices. I myself have the Clarion DXZ945MP headunit and it does everything I need it to including the convenience of touchscreen.

From what I just read that Crossfire amp(vr1000d) if I'm correct is an SPL Amp. Are you going for all out SPL or are you going SQ?

SPL is sound pressure level, or competition style, where actual sound quality isnt that important. SQ is, you guessed it, sound quality.
