AVH P4000DVD Bypass Issue
Hey all,
I know there is a search function and I've attempted to use it to find a specific issue with my bypass wiring, but I can't spend another hour trying so I apologize if this is a repeat.
I've attempted the bypass to eliminate the e-brake from having to be up to view while driving using a switch. The switch works, but the issue is that when I toggle the switch, the DVD HU recognizes the ebrake is "up" BUT so does the car. So I constantly hear the "dinging" noise from the car letting me know the ebrake is "up".
Did I wire the switch wrong? I'm not that great with electronics, so sorry if this is an insanely stupid question. Thanks for any help

No you can't just ground the Pioneer HU's. I wish though, its so much easier haha. I wanted to have just a switch cuz my friend got a ticket for not being able to prove that the DVD can be disabled while driving.
With the video posted its a continuous bypass which is what I was trying to avoid, but its the only answer I have right now to the annoying ebrake light dinging. So oh well i guess haha

I would just make a relay.. super simple. Then in the signal wire (The one that attaches to the green wire on the unit) add your switch. If you feel you can't complete it, PM me. I will make you one.
I did it to my 4300DVD in like the first 10 minutes of owning it.
