So long story short reverse lights are out and it's the switch. Rather than fixing the switch.. I kind of want to rig something up were i had a switch inside the car where i could just turn them on/off when i want. I have colored LED reverse lights and some times it's cool just to leave them on in a lot and show people at meets etc. How hard would it be / is it possible?

 

you could fix your reverse light switch the right way then when at meets put the car in reverse with ign on to turn on the reverse lights

or you could drill into the housing, epoxy in an LED, underbodies, whatever have you, and just switch that on at the meet directly wired to the battery, so you dont have to leave the keys in the car with the ign on.

 

a) the switch is not hard to replace at all i can tel ya how

b) bad idea is bad, you'd leave the switch on and ppl will think you are reversing when your not

 

I have a switch for my reverse HIDs, People back off when i turn them on haha

I kinda want to add a switch too, but for the people that tailgates at night LOL. Too bad I didn't have the cash for the reverse HID kit It would have been perfect hehe

 

ive been toying with the reverse HID idea. idk thou ill have to decide when i finally do the passat retrofit

if u really want to be fancy then wire a relay with a 3 pole switch on off and stock.

 

I'm so doing this for the ******** in MD that feel the need to tailgate me

 

Finally was able to get my reverse switch in today No more switch :P
