Which Battery to get

My battery on my balt is dead, and I'm getting a new one tomorrow morning. I'm planning on getting an Optima, but I'd like to have an idea of what I'm talking about tomorrow when I get in there. I know there are some numbers on top. The only one I remember is for CCA (cold cranking amps) and its 600. I'd like to know more about these numbers and which battery to get. Also if I should get a yellow top or red top. I know red tops are more performance, but with the yellow top having a deep cycle, which I've heard is good. Any help is helpful

I used to use an Optima Red-top in my old Beretta... but if it ever dies, it's futsed...
Now I have a Yellow-top (which I've used for two years). I've even stored that old POS in -30C (which happens to be ~-30F) for 3 months..... and she still holds a charge like the day I parked it...

So my opinion is to go for the Yellow top....
Also, if you want to get into big stereo stuff, the Yellow top is absolutly wonderful!

thanks for the help so far. I think I should mention that I'm big into performance. I don't plan on having much other then the stock sound system. I'm about to start a turbo swap.
