Battery Venting

Ok, so I was looking at the battery since my car is 5 years old and I figured it was about time to replace the battery. When I looked at it though, what I think was the venting tube was disconnected:

So should it look like this?:

I have a 2005 LS.

Thanks,
Andrew

No, I was just looking at it for the part number since I remember reading awhile back about how a lot of batteries don't fit. And I figure I should replace it soon so I don't get stuck somewhere with a dead battery.

Heh...3 years of owning my balt from brand new and the vent tube detached and my battery literally blew out acid all over my trunk... It took me weeks to figure out why I had a terrible rotten egg smell. I thought it was my cat, but then I realized what was going on when my battery wouldn't hold voltage anymore. :/

Just to mention, those bitches are pricy from the dealer.
