Im running a single 12 inch memphis mojo in a ported box....4 cubic feet. Powered by a memphis PR 1000.1 running all memphis speakers. and a MTX 50 X 4 amp for the highs. And of course the pioneer in-dash (which by the way happens to be for sale lol). That thing barely fit in the trunk. I dunno an 18 must reallly be pushing the lack of room to squeeze thing in there. Definatly gonna need to see pics.

I highly doubt you could squeeze an 18" sub into an area that is only 16.5" tall

The far ceiling of the trunk is only 16.5" tall

good point lol.

you've seen my trunk reeper. that 12 barely fits in there lol i dunno how you would get an 18 to fit unless its facing upwards? but even at that the box would be so big I don't know how it would fit lol.

oh hey bro since everyone else is calling bs on you im just wondering how you can get a kicker 18 to move with a 300w amp. i know you got the 301m and i know im going to use a amp that has 500 extra watts for my highs so assuming you have this set up does it even move?

18" = sloppy bass
at the DB drags this summer i've ssen so many 15" and 18" subs taunting guys turn around and run home crying becasue they were beat out by guys running super clean 12 and 10" systems....

Me, i prefer 2-10"... i listen to too much metal to have sloppy subs in my trunk...

not always depends on the situation power ect... but i know with 300w an 18 shouldnt be moving very much... and im pretty sure he doesnt have the space either

I don't think it would be hard to fit an 18 in the trunk. All you would have to do is pull out the spare, section off the battery area and then glass the box facing up or angled. You should have the airspace to do it. A wooded MDF box put anywhere else will not fit in there though, unless you built it around the sub and faced it right up at the back deck. I mean for all you know he could have taken out the back seat and have it ported right into the cab of the car. That is what I would do if I wanted to win SPL. Or even have it inverted and have the basket in the back seat and be using the trunk as the airspace. There are pletny of ways to get an 18" in there you just would have to be a bit unconventional.

I am not saying any of these setups would sound any good but I am just saying it could be done. Didn't you ever see that Pimp my Ride with the Jackhammer? That thing was massive but they found a way to sitck it in there. It only hit a measly 136DB on the show which could be beat out or come close to by a single 12 but that is besides the point.

but would you have enough depth to fit it in there? I guess if you built upwards kinda like a volcano shape you would i dunno.
