blown HIDs??

The other night driving I noticed that my right side was a tad darker then the left. I got home and my passenger side 6k fog light was out, so today I swapped out the the one that was working over to the side that wasn't to figure out if it was a ballast or a bulb problem. It didn't come on, so I put it back in the driver side where it originally worked, when I tried it to make sure it still worked it didn't come on either.. when I hooked the wires back up if I accidentally swapped them + to ground and ground to +.... could that have blown my HID blub?

And I didn't blow my fuse I'm getting power from the car harness but idk how to check from the ballast? can you even check a ballast??

this pic is the closest i could fine to mine. I wish i had received one like it(the circled part) but instead I got 2 prongs(+)(-) that plug into the stock car harness...

Would love some help thanks

This is why i hate these crappy HID kits. two prongs to plug in.....thats awesome.

Yes its possible you blew your ballast if you plugged it in backwards. you cant plug the bulbs in backwards, and even if you could they dont care.

Hook ballast up properly. plug in a bulb that you know works, if it doesnt come on youve got a bad ballast

my buldbs just took the place of my old ones... and the ballasts was plugged up right, there was no other options when it came to that, it was the power source coming from the car TO the ballast.

go to pg 5 thats exactly what I have but the top wire(s) that says plugs into stock harness I didn't get one of those I got the prongs instead.

I knew exactly what you were talking about and what you had....like I said, crappy setup. And you probably blew a ballast by pluggin it in backwards.
