Bluetooth 2.0 Stereo

I have an 05 Cobalt SS, and I'm looking to add a stereo system that has Bluetooth built in. I'm looking to wirelessly stream my music from my iPhone to the system if possible, but if I can only make calls using the stereo (1.0 only), then that is fine (so long as it has a USB port). Any suggestions you guys might have as to what would be my best option for the price? I'd preferably like to walk into some place like Best Buy and have them install it.

Well as far as i know there are no units that allow bluetooth streaming music, however if there is they are probably very expensive.

I would reccomend looking into pioneers touchscreen units. I myself have a f700 (not discontinued) but the new models are pretty much the same thing.

all of the three units have navigation, bluetooth for making handsfree calls, and you can get a ipod capble that allows you to hook your ipod or iphone right up and brouse it on the screen just as you would on the ipod, so the streaming audio would not be necessary.

Also, dont get those losers to install your stereo, do it yourself. Even if you dont think you know what your doing, you probably will do a better job than them, plus you will gain some experience. My friend had a sub installed a best buy and they drilled a hole right throught his firewall (there were plenty of existing holes that they could have run the power wire thru) and the wire rubbed agianst the metal and started shorting out. It was pretty rediculous. Not to mention you'll save money.

Thanks for the input! The Stereo stack seems a bit odd when compared to some other cars I've owned (in terms of dimensions). Will only certain systems work or can I buy some kind of a faceplate to allow all systems to work. I was interested in: http://reviews.cnet.com/in-dash-car-...-31962134.html

yeah you can buy a dash kit, it converts the stock stereo hole (double din) to a single din hole that will hold that size of stereo.

As for the stereo, idk why i had it stuck in my mind you wanted a navi, you never even said that in the first post haha. There are definately less expensive stereos, just like the one you picked that can give you the features i described.

using the bluetooth audio gateway profile works fine on my end. haven't tested any phones besides my dads blackberry and mine but the audio didn't sound very high quality. probably depends on the bluetooth device sending the signal.
