V1 mounting ideas
so i had my valentine mounted on my windshield but as some of you may know 2500rms does weird things to your windshield, i ordered a visor mount but when its on the cobalt visor the front of the V1 points towards the street infront of the car...not gunna work
anyone have any ideas? i thought about mounting it either at the very top or very bottom of the windshield but it still bangs up against the glass when the music is playing.

you could try the blend mount that they sell on ebay. that will mount it to the rear view mirror. i was thinking of doing that but its on old until i find the time to hardwire the thing. but if you just rather use your suction cups i would just go higher up on the windshield
unfortunatley the rear view mirror is attached to the windshield, so that shakes just as bad
im thinking i might just have to ghetto rig the visor mount
its real easy to hardwire btw...

Is your bass rattling the suction cups loose and it falling off the window? If not, just leave it mounted up high on the windshield. I notice that the visor mount sucks in most cars due to the whole tilt issue. I had to prop my friend's visor with a book on his Subaru to get my V1 to sit level whenever we went on a long trip for a Penguins game.
There are no moving parts in the V1, so mild vibration shouldn't do any lasting damage to the unit as long as it stays mounted.

Anyways, if your window flexes as much as you describe, god forbid you ever get a rock chip on that windshield.
the v1 is quite as hell (i can barely here it as is with reg volume music on or its obnoxiously loud) and that visor mount is ricockulous, haha. I would try putting something on the corner of the v1 to try to stop the bouncing or even maybe a small piece of double sided tape to get it to stick. I got mine way up on the top of the windshield.

Plus anyways, if it is within your immediate view, you'll see it light up like a christmas tree anyways since the bogey counter, arrows, and band indicators all light up.
