Bluetooth connection issues on your 08-10? look here

ok so i've had my 09 ss/tc with the bluetooth package for about a year now, and it has consistently given me huge problems when trying to pair my phone, htc touch pro 2, with the cars bluetooth.

it'll work fine for about the first time i pair it, then every other time i start up the car it causes my phone to lock up, only if the bluetooth connection is active. if i unpair the car from the phone without resetting the phone after its locked up, my phone will magically work again.

after digging like crazy for information pertaining to my phone being the culprit, i finally checked to see if anyone else with a gm manufactured car has had problems with bluetooth connections and voila, i found this TSB: Bulletin # 08-08-46-008B.

apparently there is an issue with the bluetooth within the onstar module that needs an update. i haven't called gm on this yet, but as far as i know they shouldn't have a problem providing this upgrade for whoever asks for it.

just felt i needed to put this out there for anyone else who has the bluetooth package but hasn't been able to use it properly since they bought their car.

I've had my 09 since January, and use the **** out of the bluetooth. I'm on the road quite a bit. Haven't had a single issue, using a simple Samsung Trance. I only need a phone for making phone calls and texting.

maybe it was standard? i swore to god it was an option.

regardless, not all phones have this issue from what ive read up on. some people have no problems at all, where someone like me has never been able to use it right.

OP, did you try and get the update yet? I have had a horrible time with my touch pro and my car's BT. Have even take it to the dealership in the past and they said there was nothing they could do. Will have to mention this to them and see if I can finally get my BT working correctly. That would be awesome.

Bluetooth came standard in my 2010. Have had no issues at all with my iPhone. One time it surprised me I was 30 feet from my car and the call still came over the speakers o:

found something that fixes the lockups on connection with the cars bluetooth. apparently if your call log is fairly big it'll make the phone lag to basically a stand still. i cleared my call log and tried reconnecting and it worked great.
