Hey i was wondering if i was able to take the stock sub box, replace the stock sub with after market sub, mod the enclosure so it fits and run it off stock amp? how much wiring change is required in this? or is it simple unplug and plug into new sub?

oh and if the sub doesnt fit the stock box without slight modification then it shouldnt be in there

 

its possible yes, but i'm unsure of the volume of the factory enclosure. you'd have to find a sub with a specific volume window that the factory enclosure would fit in.

also idk much about the factory amp, but the wattage can't be that high. most after market subs start at the 350-400rms watts. i can't imagine the stock amp producing that very long before calling it quits.
