CD player draining battery

I did some google searching and did a quick search on here.

07 Cobalt
Stock stereo

Issue: If the car sits more then 2 days the battery is dead. I noticed her CD kept Ejecting and then going back into the CD player. Even If I take the CD out I can hear it running. This happens even if the keys are out of the ignition.
I pulled the fuse so it would stop draining the battery.

Possible fixes I have found online
Spray some PC duster cleaner inside and see if that fixes the problem (eye could be dusty)
Read something about having updated software from the dealer added?

She did just have a sensor replaced (called it the little man knocking the glove box) and they had to tear the entire dash apart to fix it. Could they have messed something up?

Thanks

i had this problem with my cobalt. except it would show a phone in one of the corners. when the battery was hooked up the phone on the radio would pop on, and kill the battery, mind you i didnt have Onstar in my cobalt. they replaced the BCM and the car was fine.

I thought about replacing the radio with a aftermarket, but the stock works fine so I was trying to stray away from that. (well works fine except for the battery thing)

if thats the case take it back to the dealer for warranty. otherwise buying a new stock unit and having the dealer program it will probably be pricy and might not be the issue as fball pointed out

Im going to try cleaning it first, if that don't work I will just replace it with a aftermarket. Thing is we want to trade it in on a 4x4 SUV so I was trying to be cheap lol.

my car is doing the exact same thing now i have a 2006 cobalt ss supercharged and we had to pull the fuse out cause it was constantly pushing the cd in and out and getting stuck and the cd player was running without the keys in the ignition and completely draining my battery over night i am going to purchase an aftermarket cd player

I had to replace it with a aftermarket unit. Now my only issue is the aftermarket unit was about 1/4 inch too long and it pops out of the slots sometimes.

Oh well, its going to be the beater car soon since its getting up there in mileage

Its not the plastic, its where the wires come out the back of the CD player. I bought a kit and the plug is so freaking big on the back of the CD player it hits.

Its not bad, its just not tight. I forgot it was even loose until I seen a reply to this thread lol
