Emp, do you know if there is going to be a New Z unit coming out any time soon? We really wanted to go with a Z3, but can't put that much money into the car right now. (but the stock head unit is going to screw up to much else if I don't replace it right now)

(I want to put a pair of JBL 660Gti speakers in my truck....(if anyone wants to look up prices for those, you might get a kick out of it...) As you get older the toys get more expensive...

lol i wonder if those sound better then the hertz hi energy/millie.... why in the trunk thou?

regarding a new z unit the answer is no. anything like that wont be out until next march if they change it for 2010... which i doubt. pioneer tends to keep there units around for a bit

have you looked at any of the kenwood units? garmin navi is the ****

actually, there going in the Truck (S-10 ZR2) not trunk...lol. And I haven't looked into the Hertz speakers. (not something we carry here) I've considered some Focals and the Alpine F1 stuff, but I happen to like the Sound of JBL equipment. So I figured If I am going to spend that much money I ought to buy something I know I will like, not something I hope I will like.

as for the Z units, I was hoping for a nice full screen unit, but the Z3 is missing a lot of options built in on the F units.

I've looked at several other Nav units, but the Pioneer ones seem to be the ones I always come back to. Probably the options I want at a decent price. (The Eclipse units were my other choice.)

anyone that installed there own Pioneer F unit (F700bt, F900bt, F90bt) did you have to cut the plastic out from behind the radio? My stock radio is the same physical size at the F900bt I have, but haven't checked if wires are in the way.

Thanks.

I have the F700Bt and I didn't have to cut anything out to make it fit.
