Do I need a databus for alarm install?

Do I need a databus for alarm install?

I just got a autopage 2 way alarm and the guy doing the install said I needed one of the databuses to install (spmethig to do with lock/unlock/trunk since I have the stock immobolizer)

does that sound right?

You need a module to hook up to the car to interface with everything

The installer quoted me 75 for the gmos one and he said they are 100+ new so I guess I'll just go with that
