Does stock head unit have rcas and remotes

Does stock head unit have rcas and remotes

i was wondering if the stock head unit has rcas and remote because i have a sub and amp sitting around that i could use!

No it doesnt have RCAs. but you can go to a local parts store,bestbuy..whatever and get a line converter. Basically, you splice into the rear speaker wires, and wire them to the converter. Then you have RCA outputs on the converter that you send to your AMP. Voila! Thats what I did to plug my 10inch sub and it sounds great. Then you just have to run a power wire to the battery,get a good ground, then send the remote wire to the front fuse box. You can get what looks like a mini fuse, but has 2 slots and a wire coming out. That lets you tap into the fuse with an extra circuit. Use the wiper circuit for this in the fuse box.

Sorry this may be confusing, but it`s really easy.

the stock HU is pretty good, i used it with my system, and there is no loss in sound quality

true, theres no loss....but a new h/u makes a world of difference in my books...not only better sound but better controls, way better controls....however it is ur call....if u like the stock look keep it..if u want good sound and controls...go new h/u

One main problem i`ve found with the line converter, is that the signal coming from the speakers is not constant. For example, if you keep the sound low, the bass might be too loud, but if you turn the sound up, the bass might be too low. Other than that, i think mine sounds great. An aftermarket headunit will solve that. Make sure to get at least 4V preouts for the Amp. If you want bang for buck, keep the stock unit.
