I have a 2008 Cobalt LS and I took the part of the wire boot thing off from the door and noticed I have 4 wires (one pair was twisted together) running throught the wire harness/ door jam boot. I havent taken the door panel off yet to see where it leads. I bought the cobalt new in 08 and was never told that it had power locks. So I dont know if its for power locks. Its too late to take the panel off tonight since I will be working outdoors, so my question is the extra pair of wires (in both doors) for power locks and if not what could it be for? I do not have a upgraded stereo and I have manual mirrors.

 

figured it out, it is for the airbag sensor.
