factory amp????

does anyone know where the factory amp is on a 06 cobalt ss/sc??? and if it would be big enough to power a 12 sony xplod????

it would but not sound that great, plus it might take power away from speakers in the car.

in my 07 ss/sc the amp is above the foot pedals it has a fan on each side

i would imagine like 15 watts/channel or something, enough to power new speakers but if you are looking for good sound quality i would go with a nice 4 channel amp

Just bought an 800watt 4-channel Exile amp for my Infinity Kappa's.

that should do the trick :-)

you cant use the amp for anything really other then stock sub wise... just buy an aftermarket amp
