I used to be big into car audio but its been a few years...so much has changed and gotten better. Got a ? i dont remember the answer to. Is it a wise idea to replace the stock speakers and use the factory head unit? Will the lesser ohm load burn up the amp in the stocker??? Got some memphis studio 6x9's and 6.5's begging for a new home, but I dont have the cash for the eclipse double din that I want right now....haha I'm gonna do that and line level in my memphis 250D with a couple 10's for now, just to get me by. once I get a good head unit I'll have to pull my memphis belle out of the closet and wipe the dust off her

 

stock speakers are 4 ohm or 2 ohm for pioneer systems

Either way 98% of aftermarket speakers are 4 ohms so you'll be fine

 

sweet....thats the first time I've heard of 4 ohm speakers from the factory...its about time they did that.

Got it done today. my speakers are 8 ohm. Oh well...still sounds a little better than before. Saving pennies for aftermarket H/U
