Fail!! tried installing leds in hvac. please help
lol take a picture please cause i've never seen one...show me a single diode that works in a 12 volt application and i'll be impressed.....but if its 2-6 diodes strung together to one connection i'll just lol.
show me what? yes its possible to use leds without resistors in an application that uses less voltage or multiple leds wired properly. but what does that have to do with my statement that there is no such thing as a 12v led? to be honest im probably a liar. i bet there is an led that takes 12v but its not going to be a standard looking led and nothing u can just pick up at radioshack or walmart or anything like that. no offence to the OP but someone looking at a real 12v led isnt going to be asking that question. im just saying
In which the author clearly uses 12v LED's that do not have a resistor attached.
And here is the link that the OP of said post provided for the website from which he ordered 12v LED's: 12 Volt LED
Back to my problem. I visually checked every fuse now and still nothing? Somebody said reversing the positive and negative could stop the current. Is this true? If so how can I get the current going again?
It doesn't literally stop the current from flowing to the board, they just meant that LED's only work in one direction. If you wire them up backwards they just won't light up. You should check out the How TO thread I referenced above its really well written and walks you through the process step by step with pictures.

you checked both fuse boxes?
well i stand corrected.
I would like to make reference to this How To post : https://www.cobaltss.net/forums/how-...ck-led-205878/

nope. either gm lan is fucked, the interior lights fuse is blown (inside fusebox) or theres a short in the wiring somewhere. hvac control isnt nessicary at all it can be unplugged completely without harming the car. if u havent tried unplugging it do so but if nothing changes then that sorta eliminates that as the problem
I actually have a HVAC cluster if you need it.....its working perfect, just needs some graphite wiped off it from when the cops dusted for prints when my radio got jacked couple years ago. let me know.
This lets you know your tail lights are out when your driving at night, GM has been wiring them like that since the 60's

Do believe the fuse is in the under hood box......
