filla foam... lowes for like 2bucks a can... or splatter out some tar( as much as u want) and put aluminum foil on top of it... Ghetto but in the end might not look as nice but holds sound better. We used this on plenty of cars that we couldent get the rattle to stop... imo dynomatt and others are just to thin of a product to decrease it enough.

I like the foam Idea for inside my doors, won't see if hidden in there, and should help insulate the noise.

lol that is ghetto and boardline retarded... lol god I'm not usually this much of an ass but a combo of tar and reynolds wrap is the last thing i would want in my car, not only would it heat up in the summer and get all sticky and completely ruin everything but the foil at that point is useless other then possibly keeping it an ounce cleaner until it reaches 100 degrees in your trunk

what your really doing is called mass loading the sheet metal. if your not going to buy real sound deadener (btw fatmat pretty much is roofing tar and reynolds wrap so) you can use pretty much anything to mass load the sheet metal but preferably something that's not going to melt when it gets hot and destroy your car

neither... foam is pretty much useless unless its something like LLP that is foam combined with ___ to make a barrier (the vinyl in the LLP is really what does the work and the foam just enhances it to make it work if that makes sense)

sorry man... theres a reason its cheap. just apply it on the floor and not on any vertical surfaces espeically not on the trunk lid. or just hope it doesnt get hot...

how hot is it right now where ur at in TX? i know here in NM its been hot enough to mess some stuff up. ive never had an issue with the damp pro melting but the spray adhesive used a few times has melted along with the adhesive on some foil tape. lol its funny because the tape keeps its shape but the glue just runs down so its just sitting there sorta hovering over the original piece it was "holding" not really touching it at all

foam could work for something like the rear deck, just because it would keep the actual deck from slamming up against the metal underneath

possibly i would put it on so the ssa not only covers the fatmat but also slightly past it if that makes sense. so its basically a shell keeping it in place instead of melting everywhere. If you just put it only on top it will still slide

oh ya i can show you the pics i have but sadly all the ones before i put the box in are lost
