haha i think you should practice on something smaller 1st... that way you save money... fibergalssing is pretty easy after you get use to it an you know how much reisn and harder to mix to make it just right.. its all in time haha have fun with it... but still try to save your self some money.. i saw a few posts up trying to wrap ardboard thats an awsome way to practice... or if you happen to have a littletikes car for babys to push them selves in or soemthing simalr (idk y i thought of that lol) try wraping that.. that gives you contours and corners and stuff like that... but good luck an have fun with this!

k i basically sanded the **** out of it and now i have to fill a sht load of little air bubles.
should i use resin on body filler to do this, sorry about the pics, my camera is bieng wierd and wont transfer pics to the comp. but i think it might turn out ok,
also, im thinking of painting either black witha mettalic flake, the same as the car, or wrapping it in fake black leather. also, how would i go about getting a really smooth surface for the poaint, i heard somwhere that if you mix resin and body filler and paint it on it give a smooth finish
thanks alot for the advice guys, i sorta already blew the money for the fiberglass and started the thing so i guess its a little late to practice now.

i wanna hopefully get it done over the weekend, im starting getting annoyed by the fact that the only thing i can really listen to right now is my bass test music, lol

After you put the body fill on a way to make sure it is smooth. Take some paint that is some color different than what your body fill dries to.

Spray on a fairly light coat of the paint and then proceed to sand it down.

You will see all the shallow areas because they will be left painted after you have sanded off the coating of paint from the higher areas.

To fix you can either continue to sand or try to add another layer of body fill and try to fill in the shallow spots. Either way you are going to be doing more sanding.

To get body fill to a point where you can paint it, and not look crappy, you will be doing alot of sanding. You will need to step your way to the finest grit sand paper you can find. It is much easier to wrap it in something.

ya, i know, i put a few extra layers on there and around the speakers, also, im gonna keep parts of the mdf frame there so the amp will really be supported by mdf anyway, the fiberglass is just bieng used sorta as a skin and the strengthen some parts.
also, what do u guys think i should do to finish it, paint od leather(fake leather, i cant afford the real stuff although real leather for the deck would be pimp)
if i paint it i might be able to have a friend w/ a body shop paint it to match the car.

oh...that glass, i plan on limo tinting the back anyway, so i figure if its not really visable no one will steal it. Also, i think ill be ok, i live in a good part of town, and there are alot of nicer cars for people to break into.
