Front Speakers

i have a 05 cobalt ss sc. what size are the front door speakers. also does anybody know what are the watts the stock speakers came with. i know they are pioneer.

please help.

i believe they are 6 1/2" round. as for watts, don't know. pioneer is good, but there is always better. my question is if they are 2-way or regular. if they are 2-way or more, they are most likely to handle more power

maybe not, but most of the time if you are getting a 2 or 3-way speaker, the quality is better and it is more watts of power

ok but for sure they are not 5 1/4. dat is what some cites are saying. or maybe dats the 2.2 cobalt

just want to get a good size and good speakers

well for sure my 07 had 6.5's in the front.

I was thinkin though, previous years may have had slightly smaller ones.

I'm pretty new on the Cobalt stereo stuff myself, I recommend you look in the stickied threads under general stereo. You'll probably still have questions but it will really help you get started.

ya no adding more tweeters isnt really necessary.... 3way is boarderline too much on a speaker as big as 6X9, too much on anything else

and all balts have 6.5 speakers
