fuel gauge not reading properly

I had been thinking these last few weeks that my car was burning through gas quicker than usual, when I noticed today my gauge was on empty. But I did not receive a notification of low fuel. While looking at the gauge it went up about two bars then down one. This was while driving and I think my gauge might be malfunctioning because I kept track of my mpg this tank and seems to be on point. Anyone have issues with fuel gauge? And if so how can I fix it?

mine doesnt work right period. when I fill it up it goes to 3/4. then it drops from there. when it gets near E it gives me the low fuel icon. but I know its not that low.

Mine used to do the same. I'd run it empty until it was damn near pointing at 6 o'clock I took it apart and just moved the needle and it works fine now

I have heard on some newer cars it changes based on your driving, I forgot who told me that, could be wrong but mine does the same thing, did it on my 2007 LTZ Silverado too.
