Fuses/Amp Installation

Im kind of a noob when it comes to fuses (the sizes mostly).

Ok heres the setup.
- I've got a 300Watt amp installed in my car right now. It came with the wiring kit which has a fuse (one of those round see-through plastic casing ones). So a wire goes from the positive terminal of the battery, to through the fuse, then into the amp.

The amp has a normal 25 amp fuse inserted into it.

- I have an old 1000Watt amp I am wanting to install. It has two 25 amp fuses inserted into it.

Now the question is, Can I just remove the wiring from the 300Watt amp, and attach it to my 1000Watt amp? Or do I have to buy a different fuse for the positive wiring? (seethrough cased one)

Thanks in advanced.

try to match the the fuse under the hood to the total fuse in the amp.ex amp had 2 30 amp fuses so you need a 60 amp under the hood.

So the 300 watt amp has a 25 amp fuse built into, so the fuse from the battery is probably only 25 amps then right?

So I need to get a 50 amp fuse for my 1000 watt since it has two 25's in it?

cooking with krisco. But you can go up 5 amps if you want for sudden power draw. So you could use a 30 and a 60.

Ok heres what I am going to try. Let me know if its totally stupid or not.

I took the 50A fuse from under the hood for the ABS. Since I don't have ABS.

Now will I be able to place this between the battery and amp for my 1000watt amp?
Also, how much do these fuses cost?
