Got the AVIC-D3 in!!!
Only thing I can't get working is transferring my phonebook from my Blackberry to the Pioneer. I have posted on a couple forums asking for help so we will see.
Yeah the bluetooth is a MUST for anyone getting a unit that supports it. It auto connects to the phone when you get in the car, nothing has to be done after the initial setup, it is sweet!
I think the 07 required the GMOS-LAN-04 if remember right.

Nice, thats the exact one I was lookin at gettin installed, just the guys at Boomers said that with that headunit I would loose my steering wheel controls and that they didnt make a harness, but obviously they dont know what they were talkin about. How-to!

picked up the gm lan harness yesterday, got the d3 in my buddies 07, ipod cable steering controls and aux input 1 all installed aswell and working perfect, took me about 1.5 hours for everything. Im getting good at this thing
car audio is really simple. lol although ive been getting paid to install car audio stuff for 4 years now.
I'd right the how to but my car got totaled last week and im driving a rental till next week when i pick up my new SS

Ehh i had been drinking while doing this and forgot to take a lot of pics during the install. i could write something up but there wouldnt really be any good pics to go with it.
It's pretty sweet! I love it, just from what I have used so far. Got it hooked up with the bluetooth module and a 30GB ipod video. Install was a breeze, much easier than I was expecting. I took some pics though I was drinking when I was installing it so I didn't take a whole lot toward the end during the install, reign is going to be mad at me hahaha.
But the PAC SWI-PS interface worked like a charm, all of the steering wheel controls work. I ran the iPod cable over to the little cubby hole that folds down where the trunk release is so the ipod will just stay in there. Bluetooth module a mounted right under the dash on the driver side, and the mic is just up on the sun visor. GPS antenna is in the right corner of the dash. (Note: that little plate it is mounted on in the corner is getting trimmed down to the size of the GPS antenna. It looks cheezy like it is there in the picture)
For the install stuff, use these metra part numbers, there is no repinning involved or anything, just plug it in and go. I tapped the ACC wire off of the sunroof fuse.
Dash Kit: 95-3302
Wire Harness: 70-2103
Antenna Adapter: 40-GM10
Also I painted the dash kit silver to try and match the rest of the dash, looks better than the black IMO.
If you have any questions, just ask! I will be writing up a how-to over the next day or so, trying to be as thorough as possible.

I have more pics that will be with the how-to.

Your going to love your unit. By the way, for your info, there is a site called www.avic411.com that has all kinds of info on the d3. You can find out pretty much anything about the unit there.
Here are some pics of my D3. https://www.cobaltss.net/gallery/bro...=3&userid=8630
The D3 doesn't have voice controls for the navigation if that is what you are referring to. You program your route and it gives you the directions by vice guidance.
As far as you giving voice commands, that is only when you have the bluetooth phone connected.
