I like them they sound good, nice mids to them, one of my good friends has the 07's in his ride too bad they just got smoked (bad zapco amp made us all mad)

I dont see anything woth laying the dyna over really maybe a few spots. I will be foaming it cut down on panel vibration and maybe wraping the ac ducts too to keep it cold/hot idk yet.

Hes looking at some image dynamics, dynaudio, maybe even some zapco midbass drivers. He is checking out some options since it just happened yesterday we are just tossing ideas around.

Got some more stuff done today even though the weather was crapy

Finished dynamating my floor

Started working on laying down the spectrum sludge. I got all the trunk done and some of the rear seat

Hopefully if the weather clears up tomorrow more of my deadener will be here

Wow......i can remember when my car looked like that with no interior....lol.......i need to make one suggestion to you however.......this might not be something you want to do but it makes a HUGE difference and im glad i did it.........Go buy a bag of house insulation, the white sound deadening ****....its different than the pink stuff and is a lot more dense.......and start stuffing holes....i mean every nook and cranny you can find in that car.....i know in the coupe there is a lot of space between the inner panels and the outer panels and that needs to be stuffed with insulation.....not sure about the sedan though....i have it packed in my car all over the place and it made such a drastic improvement you wouldnt believe it......any questions feel free to pm me man.......good job so far though.....very good job

Go to home depot, i think its the same stuff they put in ceilings and **** because it has a lower profile but its more dense.

out of curiosity, how much do you think all of that weighs? and does it help with road noise, as well as increasing the sound quality of your system?

well, thats not so much of a mystery. the TA car, with nearly everything removed was down to about 2300 i believe.

the wiring they removed weighed like 25lbs alone.

Any kind of sound deading will help with road noise and when u use it every where like he is it will be a night and day diffrence. I have done a few cars like this and once done it helps keep the warm air in in the winter time as well as the cool air in the summer. Its just like insulating your house.good job man looks nice

Thanks Guys!!

I don’t know exactly right now how much weight I’m adding, lol. I know when it’s all said and done I’m guessing around 150lbs or so... my sub itself is 52lbs.

My good friend did the pink stuff in his car it helped.
I’m going a lil different rough I actually ordered 150+ sqft of closed cell foam that works as an insulator and sound barrier. I’m putting that over EVERYTHING over my entire empty car first, then all the open holes, then on all my panels that I took off.

its from a company called Second Skin Audio they have lots of great products. This stuff looks like peanutbutter when its not dry its just another form of sound deadener. Go to their sight and check them out.

Im still not ready for my doors or floor yet we are still designing the door pods for my mids and tweets.

My roomate just called me and said that my foam just came in so now i can start that too!

You can get it at any home depot store or home improvement place(not sure what there is in the states)......and no its not waterproof.....just very dense and very good for sound deadening......any monkey at the store will know what you need if you ask for sound deadening interior insulation......Later
