head unit?

I have a '06 Cobalt SS/SC and need to know if this head unit will fit in the car.

know which kit i need to get? Was asking because dont know much about Screen head units, and guy that installs them said he didnt know but it would be to long or it would fit, so i just needed to know.

It seems as though you only need a single DIN kit.... Or on that website a "1 DIN" kit.

i have been looking around and have found a couple of options, but like i said i dont know a lot about the lcd screen head units. So if anyone has any advice on which company and model is the best please let me know!!

Your "guy" is talking about the famous metal bracket that sits beghind the HU.
It's ment for support for the Stock HU
It is removable. There are 4 bolts that hold it in they are a 7mm socket or 9/32 same difference.

The kit you want is a Metra 99-3302, single din kit.
Do yourself a favour if your going to install the sindle din LCD, then flip the dash kit upside down so the pocket is on the top rather that the bottom.
This wiil put the LCD on the bottom half of the kit and make it so it does not cover the heater vents when its open, plus mounting lower should help to keep it out of the sun, some units get hard to see in direct sunlight

thanks, well the guy has a pioneer one that he can sell me for 550$. Not really sure of the model number but the msrp on the head unit is 700$, he is having a sale which is why i can get it for 550. Just seeing if anyone knows which one it is, and if it is a good quality head unit?
