Alright guys I need a little help. Im about to start upgrading my sound system. To start with im getting a new head unit, looking at a kenwood ddx790. But I noticed it is a fold down radio. I lnow crutchfield doesn't know **** about cobalts, but I have an 06 cobalt LS, and crutchfield said a flip down head unit won't fit. Can anyone tell me whether the ddx790 will fit or not in an 06 cobalt LS?

 

i see no reason why it wouldn't fit long as it is a double din and the flip doesn't block the ac vents

 

The only reason I ask is because crutchfield said no flip down head units

They dont all not fit however they dont all fit either. In the buisness that crutchfield is in its easier to say nothing fits

 

Well, got it ordered, I guess we will see once I get it installed.

thanks for the input guys, it fits perfectly, had to take out the back of the dash tough. the metal bar and cut the plastic behind it. it was a little bit too long, but no biggie.
