Help! Car Won't Start
Well, I was trying to re-install an aftermarket radio into my 06 cobalt ls. I had it in once before than re-installed the factory radio because I was about to sell my car. I ended up not selling it so today I finally decided to re-install the aftermarket radio. All I did was plug in the new radio and hooked up the ignition wire to the radio fuse and next thing I knew my display was saying "service airbag", my wipers won't work, and the car won't start. When i try to start it, light with a car and a lock in yellow displayed. I checked every possible fuse and nothing stood out as bad. I know it's Christmas Eve, but if anyone has any ideas about what this could be, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks

happened to me....go through the fuses on the passenger side of the car...took me two days...dont just use a fuse tester pull them all out one by one and check them each....it is a very small fuse blown good luck
there's also another way to relearn keys so that your theft deterrent goes off, put the key to the on position and leave it there for half hour and then try starting it. but judging from your description i would say there is something else wrong
free bump...im haveing the same issue an its not a blown fuse..
i tryed to use a scanner to read the cold it was throwing but it wont even read any other ideas on how to go about this issue?

how would i go about fixing that becouse my car is fully tuned an its at the dealer right now getting fully looked over..would they have 2 reset my pcm? an delete my tune or is there another way around it?
the same thing happened to me.........its the ignition fuse in the fuse panel on the passenger side.......i had a service air bag warning tooo...iut was when i was installing my deck...you have to pull the fuse individually and check the bottoms of them
this could be it...my cars in the shop so i will go check it out tomorrow an see what they say an have them check that fuse while its in there..an if this is the problem thanks alot in advance lol
I would have assumed it was the fuses because I had a similar problem but my key got stuck in the car and wouldnt come out for nothing, turned out it was a fuse. As for the airbag im not sure but I would think that it should still start, just maybe whatever set off the air bag may have done more damage than you thought that would cause the car not to start
