Exclamation Help! Car Won't Start

Well, I was trying to re-install an aftermarket radio into my 06 cobalt ls. I had it in once before than re-installed the factory radio because I was about to sell my car. I ended up not selling it so today I finally decided to re-install the aftermarket radio. All I did was plug in the new radio and hooked up the ignition wire to the radio fuse and next thing I knew my display was saying "service airbag", my wipers won't work, and the car won't start. When i try to start it, light with a car and a lock in yellow displayed. I checked every possible fuse and nothing stood out as bad. I know it's Christmas Eve, but if anyone has any ideas about what this could be, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks

if the light with the lock is on your theft deterrent needs to be relearned it sounds like to me.

there's also another way to relearn keys so that your theft deterrent goes off, put the key to the on position and leave it there for half hour and then try starting it. but judging from your description i would say there is something else wrong

its probably the stock alarm. your key might have been erased from the memory and its not getting that signal or whatever it needs to start

if its just a key learn they shouldn't reset your pcm as its not required on a key learn. thats if its just the key that was unlearned from the system.

Did you guys fixed it? Does a blown airbag stop the car from starting?

I would have assumed it was the fuses because I had a similar problem but my key got stuck in the car and wouldnt come out for nothing, turned out it was a fuse. As for the airbag im not sure but I would think that it should still start, just maybe whatever set off the air bag may have done more damage than you thought that would cause the car not to start
