if you follow the yellow metra wire through the connector and on the car wire side it should be a red and white wire, im just trying to make sure the metra pin out is corret for the car

nope its for the power antenna, which cobalts dont have

ok now the two grey speaker wires on the metra the lower one. what color is it on the car side?

discounect those two and tell me if you dic starts to work looks like your speaker pin out is wrong

disconnect them both for now, disconnect metra green and grey from pioneer harness

need to see if your dic comes back, then we will need to figure out the correct speaker wires on car side

dont pull them out just take the wire nut off you put to tie them together between metra and pioneer harness

is your dic working now? you may have disconnect the other speaker wires the green and purple ones those you can just unplug metra from car harness

yeah just make sure not to have the exposed wires hit anything, may put tape or even the wire nuts to protect them

ok heres the problem you have the wrong metra adapter, the reason why the dic wasn't working was because you had a speaker wire wired to the gm lan comunications wire, you have two choices 1. get the right metra harness. 2.re-pin the one you have

its not very hard you will have to take the terminal out of the metra connector and move it to the correct cavity you will only have to do this for the speaker wires

there is usually a lil tab you have to release so the terminal slides out, theres usually a lil notch where you insert a terminal release tool or you can sometimes get a pick to release it

ill have to find a schematic i dnt remember, check and see if you have a grey and tanish color wires on the carside connector should usually be the first upper set on the connector
