Question high output alternator?

Looking for a high output alternator for a LSJ, anyone know where to get one? When my bass starts hitting hard when its turned up my headlights start diming so I want to bump up the amperage.

isnt it wierd that its rated at 180 amps. yet on the pic its telling u to put an inli9ne 100 amp fuse? technically if it were to surpass 100 amps the fuse would pop. and if its rated properly then ur gonna need to be swapping those 100 amp fuses quite ******* often lollllll!

you guys think this alt would really make a big difference over the stock LSJ alt? That does really fit the LSJ's right??

I my amp has a fuse rating of 250amps....

Oh and does the alternator power wire run UNDER the vehicle or inside, I hoping under! haha

Will do...

Just sent Ohio Generator an e-mail about 20mins ago, hopefully I get a response tomorrow. I just wanna be able to wake this Hifonics BXi2610 up to get some decent power and I hear their power hungry.

Great, im glad you choose Ohio Gen. Cant beat their quality, but if you do the HO alternator make sure you do the big three as well. Brutus amps are not that efficient and dont put the power out they say they do but honestly you should be alright with adding a spare battery. but if you want to do an alternator id do a spare batt as well for extra storage

That's what I was thinking too, just don't know if I can squeeze two of the current optima I have out back, and optima doesn't recommend running different batteries out back so I'm at like a crossroad.

I'd definitely like to be able just to do the big 3 and add a spare Battery for now.....I'll probably definitely do the alternator just for the piece of mind for future upgrading though.

Any one have (2) Battery set-up in the trunk they can post pics of?

dude... **** optima, honestly, get a car audio drycell, half the size, less weight and designed for what your trying to do... look up stinger's power or powerII batterys, kentik, soundquest batt... Im running th stock and a stinger power II with a rockford t1500-1bd and t600-4 and i have no problems, and that TRUE power... my birthcertificate states 1987 watts then pluss what ever my his amp does, its rater at 150x4 but i cant rememver what it actually does

I agree bro...optima is really sucking.

You should pm me pics of ur set-up or post em in hear. I have the rockford bd1000 also and the birthsheet on that one was 1197rms, rockford definitely under rates their amps, I was gonna go w/that T1500 also actually.

I've been checking out the kinetics also, just need to know which (2) will squeeze back there and how to run the alternator wire for the big 3 because I've never did that before.

What model are those 2(for a dimensions reference)?

Would (2) 16v Batts work for an application like mine?

.....Technically, Im assuming getting a great alternator would kind of eliminate the need for 2 big batteries out back, I know it definitely wouldnt hurt to have them but just thinking in general here, right?

ide do the big 3 upgrade first, u would want to do a bat and an alternator because if not ur gona be straining one of the 2 because its trying to keep up.

Do we still do a chassis to engine ground because our batteries in the trunk? And do you know if the factory alternator power wire runs through the interior?
