horrible rattle from rear deck

horrible rattle from rear deck

how do you guys get rid of this rattle. ive fixed every single rattle except this one, but this is by far the worst.

any ideas?

got the rite idea but "dynamat" is really inferior to some of the other products on the market.

just so i can make sure were talking about the same thing.. i mean the rear deck which covers the rear speakers, not on the trunk?

got the extreme stuff and got it cheap......no rattles in the car.

if it makes you feel better then he should get some of the sound dampening products

What is rattling are the little plastic covers up there. Could probably fix the rattle for cheaper then going with dynamat.

no way man, the figgin car rattles nor just those covers. thts the first thing i tried lol

Well on mine only rattles I have back there are from the covers. I guess Im lucky

that WHOLE deck thing basically slaps up and down against the metal underneath. maybe i can take a bunch of cardboard and just put it underneath?

Stuff some foam or even some old towels under the deck lid to prop it up so it won't bang around but yeah sound damp. is also a must.
I have 2 layers on the bottom and 3 on the top, plus 2 layers of carpet underlay on the top, it still rattles

BTW-No he is not wasting his time but card board is not the material he should use

i got rid of mine by taking it off and ripping out all the holder clips holding the wiring underneith it then shoved an old quilt under it before reinstalling it. worked perfect and was free!

plus i have two 12in subs and it still doesnt rattle
