Exclamation How to-Disassemble dash board

i have a stupid rattle right where my center air ducts are, next to the passenger airbag. it sounds like theres a screw loose in a cup or something. i also found the other day a screw with built in washer on my passenger floor, cant think where it came from. i searched how-to's and couldn't find any how to's to disassemble the dash board so i can check it out. can anyone help?

i thought this would be the best place seeing as people disassemble their cars to do speakers, h/u, sound deadener, etc

Emp.... UPDATE UPDATE UPDATE

so i believe i have to take off all my trim, remove 5 or 6 7mm screws, facing me, probably remove the phillips head screws holding the speedo cluster, then from there i'm lost/havn't gone further. are there clips or anything i need to watch out for?

does anyone one know what causes the rattle in there?

This is what I had to do to remove my dash, just follow 1-6. There are gonna be 7mm bolts, philips heads, and 10mm bolts. Maybe a torx cant remember. Any questions lol?

It's only on setting 1 or 2 that it rattles, after that I don't hear it. My new sound system should drown it out though.

Hey man I saw that you were wanting to get your dash out. I recently did that to cover it all in suede. First off you need to remove the A-Pillars, there's a screw under the "airbag" plug. Then you remove the side panels where the doors cover. Then pull off the dash trim. Its actually really easy but pull perpendicular so as to no break the clips. Then you are going to need to remove the passenger airbag. There is a how-to for it but just remember to disconnect your battery and take out the fuse for the airbags. Then there are about 20 bolts, you need to remove them all (the piece in front of the dash with the windshield air vents has to be removed first, it's held on by clips alone) then take out those and pull up the dash. It's as easy as that. It took me a long time to actually find all of the information to do it. But I used this site and yourcobalt. Just thought I would help you out a bit so I hope this does just that. Have a good one!
