ID3 tag error check file

my stock 2010 Radio does this with some songs on my USB ssshhtick, I've tried to write the song name different ways, no underscors/spaces etc etc but it still has issues wit those songs, but they're the same formatting as songs that work just fine.

Oddly enough it played one song yesterday but today is giving me the error

any tips? and dont tell me to get a double din, its not on my list of things to throw money at and besides this pebble in my shoe I quite like this stock unit.

use an id3 tag editing program to change name of the track, file name has nothing to do with it. it could also be your USB stick getting close to needing to be replaced.

im not a huge fan of itunes but since thats what i use for my ipod i make due...

in itunes right click on the MP3 and click on Convert ID3 tags. from there try reverse unicode which should fix it. If not then try the ID3 versions until you find the one that works with the balt. theres 5 different ones

If you use winamp you can right click on the song in the playlist and edit. Itunes works better, but I don't like all of the bloat that comes with it, so I use winamp.

just tried all the suggestions and its still doing it, I'm either going to

-Rip this deck out, smash it and replace it with a nice double din afterall

OR

-give in and get an Ipod cuz for everything an s4 is good for its bullshit at having sex with a car audio deck

There are several kits to add an Ipod cable to the cobalt, including one made by gm.
They keep your steering wheel controls.
