installation help

Hey guys,

I just bought some boston acoustics speakers for my 06 Cobalt SS/SC and I was wondering if anyone here could give me some info on the following:

1.) Instructions on how to get the door panels off. Is there a special tool etc etc?

2.) Are there any special considerations for installation of the 6x9s in the back? Are they installed from the trunk or the back seat?

3.) I am still keeping my stock XM and Pioneer amp/sub and don't want to mess around with them. Are there any special considerations/adjustments to the amp or deck or is this just a straight up swap factory speaker for aftermarket speaker?

The speakers are the SX 95 6x9's (rear) and SB 6 1/2" 2 way for the front. Any help you guys provide would be greatly appreciated. I hope that this all works for me. These suckers were expensive. I know that the back pioneer factory speakers are decent, but the fronts are just the old paper cone style and need to go.

Check out the "How To" Section. There is a thread about the door panels. Might try searching the "Audio/Video" section also. I think I remember seeing something about the back speakers.

You should be able to swap the speakers. I'm pretty sure that Pioneer used regular impedance levels with their amp for the Cobalts.

Good luck.
