New System Installed

Well I finally got my system installed today. Figured I would share with everyone.
Consist of.....
Eclipse AVN5435 Navigation Headunit w/ Sirius Sat Radio
Memphis Car Audio MCD1500 (Subwoofer Amp... 750w RMS @ 4ohms)
Memphis Car Audio MCA3004 (Mid/High Amp.... 75w RMS x 4)
Eclipse SC8264 6.5" Components (Front and Rear)
MTX 9512-04 Subwoofer

I had a local place do the installation because I'm too busy to do it myself.
They built the custom vented box and the amp rack.
The box isnt really what I want but it will do for now. When I have the time I'm going to
build a box with the same design pretty much but I want it to be totally flush to the
trunk (so it just looks like a wall and not a big box sitting in my trunk).
Still to need to wire in my remote gain control. I forgot to give it to the shop to put in
for me.

It sounds really good.... The woofer pounds pretty hard. Sub still needs to be broken
in so I'm not going to push it too hard. The Eclipse components sound GREAT. I am
totally impressed. I auditioned a TON of speakers before choosing them.... without
stepping up to say a Dynaudio, Focal Utopia, or DLS Iridium.... I dont think you can do
any better. Especially at $250/pair.

I took a few pics when I got home tonight. They really suck... Its dark and I suck with the
camera. What do you guys think ?

I had a local shop do it... but I read the installation manual... It doesnt look any harder then a regular aftermarket deck. Only additions are vehicle speed signal, parking brake signal, and the antenna for the nav.

Ya I thought about L7s... They POUND but the SQ is decent at best. I wanted something right in the middle... Pound good... Middle of the road SQ... Im pretty happy thus far.
Besides my ears are too weak for L7s

I have been waiting for someone to install a 2-DIN dvd/nav system to see how it looks. It looks pretty damn good. They stick out farther than I would like but still a lot nicer than the ones that slide and popout. Also would be cool if they could paint that bracket satin nickel to match the rest of the dash.

very nice, I'm expecting my head unit to be the same or a step up. how do you like the head unit? I like your amp rack too, I'm thinking of doing something close but with fiberglass...I'm thinking about putting my single sub in the other corner though....Your box looks pretty big... maybe I'll have to measure the back tomorrow.
